Who is Lola Vicky?

Hi! My name is Vanessa - I started Lola Vicky's Bakery, in 2020. This proved to be a unique challenge with an apartment-sized fridge.
Here’s a verbal montage: a never-ending stack of whisks and spoons waiting to be washed, sleepless nights spent fulfilling multiple orders from a micro-kitchen, capped off with vendor guilt for charging prices reflective of small business overheads.
Ultimately, while it was fun, it was not sustainable.
Now comes Part Two!

While my vision for this project is evolving, and I don't currently see a bakery as an immediate goal, I do see myself continuing to write, cook, and bake. Hopefully getting a little bit better at each as I go.
Join me as I keep my project dedicated to my 'Lola' - Grandma Vicky, alive. Sharing recipes from both of my cultures (Filipino & Trinidadian Heritage) as well as appreciating others.
